About PaperLeaks.in
Our Mission
PaperLeaks.in was created to bring transparency to the pervasive issue of exam paper leaks in India. For decades, students have prepared tirelessly for competitive exams, only to have their futures compromised by systemic corruption. We document these leaks to provide a definitive, source-backed registry of every confirmed and alleged incident from 2004 to the present day.
By aggregating this data, we aim to highlight the scale of the problem. Over 110 leaks have affected an estimated 22.5 million aspirants. The human cost is even higher, with numerous linked deaths and countless shattered dreams. Our platform serves as a historical record and a tool for researchers, journalists, and policymakers striving for educational reform.
Data Methodology
Every incident documented on this platform is meticulously sourced from verified national and regional news outlets. We categorize leaks as Confirmed, Alleged, or Suspected based on official investigations and credible reporting. We do not host the original exam papers; rather, we provide the metadata, timelines, and impact assessments of the leaks.
Our dataset is open and accessible. We believe that public data should remain in the public domain, free from paywalls and advertisements. This project is entirely volunteer-driven and relies on public support to maintain its operations.
Who We Are
This project was built by Akash Priyadarshi and a community of concerned citizens who believe in the sanctity of the examination process. We operate independently and are not affiliated with any government body or political organization. Our sole allegiance is to the truth and the millions of hardworking students across India.
